Boost your potential

Boost Your Potential is a career coaching programme we offer annually to our residents in collaboration with Bucks Adult Learning. One of our previous participants successfully applied for a position within our Community Engagement Team after completing the course and is now undertaking an apprenticeship with us.Three residents and trainer from Adviza smiling at camera for photograph.

The programme is a free, short course designed to give residents a solid foundation in job applications and interviews, particularly for roles in business administration. It’s aimed at individuals returning to work after a childcare break, considering a career change, or those who have been unemployed for an extended period, helping them retrain and upskill for new opportunities. This opportunity is available to any Fairhive resident aged 19 and over.

Participants develop key insights into the importance of 'people skills' and their value to employers. They also build confidence, explore their strengths, and learn about the responsibilities involved in business administration. The course includes hands-on activities related to administrative roles at Fairhive, as well as a presentation on working in the housing sector.

Many participants have reported feeling more confident in applying for roles. One participant shared, “I am looking forward to sending more emails using what I have learned.”
