Some homes have underfloor heating, which works by distributing heated water through a circuit of pipes beneath the floor. The water in these pipes is at a lower temperature compared to radiators so it will take longer for a room to reach the desired temperature.
The most efficient way to run a system with underfloor heating during the winter months is to run it continuously using the thermostat to maintain the desired temperature.
This might sound like it would use more energy but it is actually much more efficient than the system constantly being turned turn on and off.
