Inspiring Futures at Aylesbury High School’s Careers Fair!

We were thrilled to be a part of the Aylesbury High School Careers Fair in November, aiming to inspire the next generation and promote career opportunities in the Housing sector.

The event provided an engaging platform for us to showcase ourselves as a prospective employer in the community, capturing the curiosity and interest of the students. Students engaged with our team in insightful conversations about their career aspirations. We took the opportunity to highlight the advantages of a career with Fairhive including our status as a Disability Confident Leader, our Workplace Menopause Pledge, and our commitment to gender and ethnic pay equality. The pupils were very inquisitive as to what we do as a business and asked lots of great questions.

We incorporated an interactive element to our stand, inviting students to construct sA lego bulid of a beach including blue sea and yellow sand.omething (a building, structure, or service) they felt their community was missing using Lego. The students were incredibly creative in their designs which ranged from an idyllic beach to non-tech cabins, cinemas, and various green spaces.

A testament to the success of the event was two Aylesbury High School students reaching out to our Community Engagement Team expressing their keen interest in securing work experience opportunities with us in the future.

We look forward to working with other young people at career fairs like this one next year.
