Building on the progress we’ve made over the past five years; our new strategy will sustain our momentum into the future.

We’re proud to be a leading provider of social and affordable housing in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas. Despite ongoing challenges like the cost-of-living crisis and a tough economic climate, we have a clear focus on putting residents at the heart of everything we do.Anstey Court, a Fairhive development of modern flats, shown on a sunny day.

This strategy outlines how we’ll continue to:

  • Deliver high-quality, resident-focused services
  • Build and maintain homes to meet housing need
  • Manage the organisation to give our residents value for money
  • Reduce our environmental impact and improve the energy efficiency of our residents’ homes
  • Maintain a strong positive culture across Fairhive

Homes for living, communities for life.

Rooted in our purpose to provide safe, affordable homes and inclusive communities, our new strategy reinforces our commitment to continuous improvement, long-term sustainability and listening to the people we serve.

Our Five Key Objectives:

1. Resident Voice
We’ll make it easier for residents to engage with us and influence our services.

By understanding residents and their local communities better, we’ll tailor support to their needs and ensure transparency and accountability in how we work.Fairhive involved residents smiling and holding ‘Volunteers Week’ cut-out signs during a celebration event.

2. Housing Quality
Our homes will be safe, compliant, and located within communities where our residents want to live. We’ll use accurate data to plan improvements and make smart decisions when homes become empty, including whether to invest more, redevelop or reinvest elsewhere.

3. Development and Growth
We’ll build more high-quality, affordable, and sustainable homes that reflect our residents’ needs and support local authority partners in meeting housing need.

4. Environment
We’ll improve the energy efficiency of our residents’ homes and act to reduce our environmental impact, from managing waste and pollution to enhancing green spaces and preparing homes for climate change.

5. Employee Engagement
We’ll foster a positive, inclusive culture where employees feel valued and empowered. By embracing technology and flexible ways of working we will deliver better services for our residents.

Matthew Applegate, Chief Executive, says:

“This strategy is more than just words, it’s a clear roadmap aimed at embedding better outcomes for our residents and communities into our everyday activities and thereby building a stronger future.”

This new strategy is the result of collaboration with residents, partners and work colleagues and sets out our ambitious plans for the next five years.
