The Friday Night Project: Celebrating a year at our new venue

Working alongside Inspired Sport, The Friday Night Project aims to promote physical fitness and well-being among young individuals. By offering fun football sessions, young people can engage in a sport that enhances their physical health, improves coordination, and boosts self-esteem. These sessions provide a safe and structured environment for teens to develop athletic abilities and learn the importance of an active lifestyle.

To engage young people in our community, we re-introduced the Friday Night Project at a brand new venue this time last year. The Project offers two free, coached football sessions every Friday evening, split into a younger and older group for 11-17-year-olds, allowing them to develop their skills, nurture teamwork, and build meaningful relationships.

The Venue:
The Mandeville School Sports Facility, Ellen Road, Aylesbury, HP21 8ES.

The Sessions:
Ages 11-14 (Fridays) 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm.

Ages 14-17 (Fridays) 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.

Andrea Loomes, Neighbourhood Team Leader, added, “The Friday Night Project is a great service for our residents and the wider community. By offering these free sessions, we’re promoting physical fitness, investing in our younger residents, and ensuring they have access to opportunities that enrich their lives and strengthen our community as a whole.”

The Friday Night Project is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for all participants. If you or a young person you know is interested in these sessions, check our Young Residents page for more information.
