Working with local Fire and Rescue Teams at Rossiter House
Last month, we worked with Northhamptonshire Fire and Rescue and Brackley Fire Station to enable a fire training exercise to be carried out in the Rossiter House building. We were joined by colleagues from several local fire stations, including Towcester, Woodford Halse, The Mounts and Moulton Fire Station as well as the local police services from Northamptonshire.
The team were able to provide valuable training which included use of cosmetic smoke in one of our empty properties, as we’re in the process of getting this flat ready for new residents to move in soon, and our neighborhood manager’s office. The smoke was used during practice procedures that the Fire & Rescue team would need to follow in the event of a real fire to keep everyone safe, making the whole training experience even more realistic.
It was a great opportunity for our Neighborhood Manager, Alex, to meet some of the local F&R Team and see how our own emergency procedures support those required for emergency services:
Alex Ridley, Neighborhood Manager of Winslow and Rossister House, added, “I was really pleased to work with the local emergency services on this event, it’s great to see how they will keep the resident s safe should a fire occur in the block and I hope that it brings confidence to our residents of how important fire safety is to Fairhive.”
We would like to thank the local fire stations for carrying out their training in a timely and safe manner. Most of all we thank our residents of Rossiter House and Brackley for their support and patience during this exercise.
