Woodlands, Haddenham, HP17 8JE
Haddenham is a popular Buckinghamshire village, with good amenities and transport links.
The Woodlands was opened in 1976 and has recently undergone extensive refurbishment works, replacing kitchens and bathrooms, as well as upgrading pipe work. Accommodation comprises of 22 one and two bedroom bungalows along Butte Furlong and 31 one bedroom flats in Woodlands itself.
It also has excellent communal facilities, including two lounges, lift, laundry room and guest room, with a £15 per night charge. Set in a large garden, Woodlands also has a patio area and a large car park.
There is a bus stop which is a 5 minute walk away, which has services to Aylesbury and Thame. The local shops are also about a 15 minute walk and include a post office, fish and chip shop, local ironing shop, small local museum, small petrol station, local garden centre, local train station and a hairdresser. The Bucks County Council Mobile Library visits weekly on a Tuesday.
The scheme holds regular bingo events, a gardening club, soup lunches, Wii-Fit and a mobile chiropodist.
Unfortunately cats and dogs are not accepted in these flats, but are permitted in the bungalows.
